Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to build and evolve our modern data platform, focusing on large-scale data ingestion, processing, and availability. The professional will be responsible for developing robust and scalable pipelines using Databricks, contributing to the reliability, governance, and efficiency of the company's data ecosystem.

We seek a hands-on profile with strong technical skills, architectural vision, and experience in highly complex corporate data environments.

Main responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain batch and streaming data ingestion pipelines using Databricks.
  1. Design and implement data integration solutions from multiple sources (APIs, relational databases, files, legacy systems, and SaaS).
  1. Build and optimize processes using Apache Spark.
  1. Apply best practices in data engineering, DataOps, and observability.
  1. Ensure quality, reliability, and performance of pipelines.
  1. Work on data modeling and organization in Lakehouse architectures.
  1. Collaborate with business, analytics, governance, and platform teams.
  1. Support the definition of technical standards, reusable frameworks, and development best practices.
  1. Conduct troubleshooting and performance optimizations on critical data processes.
  1. Participate in modernization and evolution initiatives of the data platform.

Qualifications

  1. Solid experience as a Data Engineer.
  1. Proven experience with Databricks in production environments.
  1. Experience with Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala).
  1. Experience in developing data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
  1. Experience with Data Lake and Lakehouse solutions.
  1. Experience with Git and CI/CD processes.
  1. Knowledge of analytical data modeling.

Technical Knowledge

  1. Advanced Python.
  1. Advanced SQL.
  1. Databricks Workflows.
  1. Delta Lake.
  1. Spark Structured Streaming.
  1. REST APIs.
  1. Modern data architectures.
  1. Performance optimization in Spark.
  1. Pipeline monitoring and control.
  1. Data governance and quality concepts.
