Job Description
Technically lead the real-time decision architecture: ensure the integration layer with risk engines responds within the transaction SLA window, without exposing a gap between the call trigger and the decision return.
Responsibilities
- Build REST APIs for the engine and integrations with third parties (antifraud, PLD, scoring).
- Implement resilience: timeout, retry, circuit breaker, and idempotency.
- Develop asynchronous producers and consumers for post-decision actions.
- Model transactional and event data in relational and NoSQL databases.
- Maintain automated tests, load tests, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Instrument technical and business metrics (decision time, block rate).

Qualifications
- Expertise in event-driven distributed systems architecture, with a clear understanding of when to use synchronous patterns (transaction decision) and when to use asynchronous patterns (post-decision actions: logging, case management, Coaf, analytics).
- Design of APIs (REST/gRPC) and API Gateway to integrate multiple external engines for antifraud, PLD, KYC, and scoring.
- Low-latency architecture with critical SLA: transaction decision within a few hundred milliseconds, without leaving a window of exposure to fraud.
- AWS cloud: containers, queues, gateway, observability (logs, metrics, distributed tracing).
- Senior Backend in a robust language (Java, Python, or Node, according to the defined stack).
- Information security applied to payments: encryption, tokenization, PCI-DSS best practices.
Mandatory
- Senior Backend in Go, Java, Python, or Node.
- REST APIs, messaging, and pub/sub in production.
- Relational and NoSQL databases.
- Automated tests and CI/CD.
- AWS.
Desirable: fintech or payments experience, prior contact with antifraud or PLD, observability with Datadog.
