About the opportunity
Your mission will be to lead the technical team, ensuring the delivery of scalable data pipelines, the sustainability of our APIs and microservices, and contributing to the governance of our Feature Store. Roles to be performed
- Lead, mentor, and develop software and data engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Define and manage technical tasks (Task management and Technical tasks definition), adapting agile methodologies to optimize the delivery flow.
- Perform constructive code reviews and guide the team in adopting design patterns and best practices.
- Define the technical vision and architecture for projects that integrate software applications, data pipelines, and infrastructure.
- Ensure the selection of appropriate technologies, considering trade-offs in performance, cost, scalability, and maintainability.
- Develop, optimize, and store robust data pipelines (ETL/ELT) focused on our feature store datasets to feed Machine Learning models.
- Develop and maintain robust and scalable APIs and Web Services for analytical consumption and system integration.
Required qualifications
- Experience with technical team management (Teams management), task definition, and a passion for teaching and mentoring developers.
- Python and Java Mastery: Solid experience in the ecosystem of these languages focused on Data Engineering and Backend Development.
- Big Data and Orchestration: Advanced experience with Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala) for processing large volumes and Apache Airflow for orchestration.
- Cloud Data Warehouse: Experience with Google BigQuery and BigTable (relational/ NoSQL modeling and query optimization).
- Infrastructure and DevOps: Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and CI/CD (Gitlab/Github) practices.
- Architecture: Ability to design complex systems aiming for high availability and performance.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions and communicate with technical and business audiences.
- Critical eye for innovation, code quality, and continuous process improvement.
