About the role

Daisy Gulf Coast is launching on the Mississippi and Alabama Gulf Coast, and we’re hiring our first Lead Technician. You’ll work directly with the owner, help set the installation standards for a brand-new branch, and own the Daisy Care maintenance program for our clients. If you want the stability and training of a national brand with the ownership and growth of a ground-floor role, this is it.

Job Summary

We’re seeking a Lead Smart Home Technician to install, troubleshoot, and service audio, video, lighting, motorized shades, control and networking systems in residential and some commercial locations. You’ll regularly interface with clients, represent the Daisy brand, and build trusted relationships that help improve their lives through technology.

Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  1. 3+ years of AV, networking, or technology integration experience
  1. Motivated to learn new technologies and processes
  1. Able to work independently, lead jobs, and mentor future team members
  1. Can pass a drug screen and background check
  1. Valid Mississippi or Alabama driver’s license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
  1. Able to independently lift up to 50 pounds
  1. Able to sit, stand, and kneel for extended periods
  1. Control4 certification strongly preferred

Schedule/Expected Work Hours

  1. Flexible alternative workweek: four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday
  1. Overtime may occasionally be required
  1. Work location varies by job site across the Mississippi and Alabama Gulf Coast
  1. Some work-from-home flexibility on days without a scheduled installation or Daisy Care visit

Target start date: November 2026

Responsibilities

  1. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, floor plans, specifications, and product manuals
  1. Manage all aspects of support, including end-user training, troubleshooting, and escalating issues through to resolution
  1. Share challenges and successes with the team during weekly meetings and help shape installation standards
  1. Travel to job sites, use hand and power tools safely, and maintain company-issued tools, equipment, and vehicle
  1. Work with builders, designers, and other industry professionals in addition to clients
  1. Communicate daily with the project manager on project progress
  1. Assist the owner on Daisy Care assessment visits and help identify opportunities to better serve clients
  1. Independently manage and perform Daisy Care maintenance visits once ramped up
