We will train you at our location in Hannover in cooperation with the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences (HSBI). In a 12-week rhythm, you will alternate between theory phases at HSBI in Minden and practical phases at our location in Hannover.

In addition to the practical phases in your primary field of study, ZF offers you the opportunity to complete assignments in other departments.

Additionally, our dual students form an independent team with the goal of health promotion. Under the name Sports & More, you will plan and organize cross-location sports events, tournaments, or participation in regional events for all employees.

Your main area of focus will be in Automotive Software and Embedded Systems. As part of our Base Software team, you will actively work on modern software and electronics solutions in the automotive environment. Your tasks will include, among others:

  1. Development, expansion, and testing of software automation solutions
  1. Participation in projects in the field of Embedded Systems and Automotive Software
  1. Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
  1. Support in the definition and optimization of development and test processes
  1. Setup, support, and further development of hardware and test setups

Minimum requirements

WHAT YOU BRING

  1. You possess a general higher education entrance qualification (Allgemeine Hochschulreife) or a university of applied sciences entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife).
  1. Logical reasoning skills, technical understanding, and enthusiasm for commercial vehicles.
  1. Your work style is structured, independent, and goal-oriented.
  1. You enjoy working in a team and show a high degree of initiative.
  1. Very good German and English language skills.
  1. Basic understanding of and interest in software engineering and electronics.
  1. Good knowledge of computer science and initial programming skills (e.g., Python, C#, VBA, or Embedded C).
  1. Initial experience with measuring instruments (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope) is advantageous.
  1. If you already have an apprenticeship in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a similar technical field, that is advantageous.
