About the opportunity
We are looking for a COMOS (Siemens) Application Administrator – Level 2 (L2) with a strong operational profile to work on the support and administration of the COMOS platform in Oil & Gas sector projects and operations.
The professional will be responsible for the daily operation of the application, ensuring its availability, stability, data integrity, and technical support to users, acting as the main focal point for incidents, problems, and administrative activities of the tool.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and monitor backup and restore routines for COMOS application databases and components.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of the application, ensuring adequate availability and performance.
- Monitor COMOS logs, services, and processes, identifying and acting on the resolution of operational incidents.
- Diagnose and correct data inconsistencies, operational failures, and synchronization issues.
- Administer users, groups, profiles, and access permissions in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure the integrity and consistency of technical information stored on the platform.
- Execute data import, export, and update procedures.
- Support the deployment of patches, service packs, and application updates, performing functional tests after implementation.
- Administer development, test, and production environments, ensuring their proper segregation.
- Provide second-level technical support to engineering users and project teams.
- Register, track, and document incidents, problems, and service requests.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures, work instructions, checklists, and technical documentation.
- Support audits and compliance activities related to the COMOS environment.
- Interact with vendors and infrastructure teams when necessary for the resolution of escalated problems.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in the administration of the COMOS (Siemens) application.
- Experience in industrial projects, engineering operations, or Oil & Gas sector environments.
- Practical knowledge in corporate application administration and second-level support.
- Experience with system backup, restore, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server for queries, validations, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Windows Server environments.
- Experience in user management and access control.
- Ability to analyze and resolve technical incidents and data inconsistencies.
- Knowledge of incident and change management processes.
