The Opportunity

Successfully respond to help desk queue requests related to all Wajax IT activities.

The Role

Respond to, assess, and prioritize help desk requests from users experiencing issues with hardware, software, networking, and other IT technologies.

Provide phone and in-person support to end users at on-site and remote locations for a variety of issues. Identify, research, and resolve technical problems. Track and follow up on issues to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.

Provide printing support for all locations.

Configure, customize, and set up workstations for remote site users. Perform upgrades or replace hardware and software systems.

Maintain, troubleshoot, install, and repair computer systems, hardware, software, and peripherals. Recommend and schedule repairs. Install new software versions, system upgrades, and resolve software-related issues.

Assign and delegate tasks based on workload.

Work with vendors to provide a better experience across all locations.

Provide on-call support after normal business hours as needed, based on a rotating shift schedule.

Assist in coordinating and maintaining quality standards.

Adhere to IT department policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Support organizational change.

Perform additional tasks as required.

The Candidate

Education: College diploma or university degree (B.Sc. in Information Technology)

Work Experience: 1 to 2 years in IT support

Knowledge: Experience with computer operating systems (Windows 10 and 11); knowledge of user account management; knowledge of incident and request management; excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills; basic typing skills.
