About the opportunity
As an AI Developer, you will act as a transversal technical reference for all our artificial intelligence projects. You will help define the needs and architectures for Python and AI, in addition to bringing the work developed by data scientists into production. You will also need to develop the tools and practices that allow teams to integrate AI into production reliably, while supporting 5 to 10 projects simultaneously.
What you will do
- Help define the needs and architectures for Python and AI for the team's projects.

- Work on DevOps and cloud infrastructure aspects (deployment, architecture), without acting as a dedicated DevOps, and know when to refer to a specialist.
- Ensure the quality and robustness of AI solutions deployed in production.
- Standardize development and production deployment practices within the AI teams.
- Develop the tools and skills that promote the integration of AI into production, in an agentic logic.
- Document and disseminate the chosen practices so that they can be reused by all teams.
- Contribute to evolving the AI team's ways of working in collaboration with the Top Geeks.
- Support 5 to 10 AI projects simultaneously, rotating according to needs, and become operational quickly in a new context.
- Collaborate daily with data scientists to facilitate the production deployment of their work.
- Interact occasionally with DevOps teams on deployment and infrastructure issues.
- Independently identify the technical needs of projects, without depending on a task list defined by an architect.
- Master and proactively integrate artificial intelligence tools into your activities, demonstrating interest and initiative to maximize their potential.
Your profile
- You are based in Quebec City or Montreal. Remote work is possible, but you are willing to come to the office regularly as needed.
- You have a degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field (no degree preference, and specialized AI training is not required for this role).
- You have 3 to 6 years of relevant software development experience (ideally around 4 years), including experience in architecture, deployment, and best practices for production. MLOps experience is a plus.
- Written English proficiency is mandatory, in order to write and operate in English with tools and some English-speaking colleagues. Spoken English is a plus.

- Be interested in everything related to Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Work under pressure when necessary, during certain sprints.
- Love learning new things and stepping out of your comfort zone.
- Take care of your codebase, like a Gandalf of software development best practices.
- Be able to chat with your colleagues about things other than the weather — and ideally, you'd be a fan of dad jokes.
