Job Title: QA Engineer – Data Testing
Location: Remote
Experience: 5–7 Years
Contract: W2 (No C2C)
Visas: Any visa
Duration: Long-term contract
We are looking for a strong QA Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in software quality assurance and a solid understanding of data testing and validation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in functional testing, database testing, SQL queries, and data quality validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity across applications and databases.
- Write and execute SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
- Perform ETL/data pipeline testing and verify data transformation and migration processes.
- Identify, document, track, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and data engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
Required Skills
- 5–7 years of hands-on QA/testing experience.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing, functional testing, and regression testing.
- Good proficiency in SQL and database testing.
- Experience with data validation, data quality testing, and ETL testing.
- Understanding of relational databases and data workflows.
- Experience with defect-tracking tools such as Jira.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium or Playwright.
- Experience with data warehouses or cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or AWS.
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
