Job Description
Our Analyst/Engineer will be responsible for supporting and assisting the design and support teams of the main directorate in operations, as well as in the improvement of processes and tools for the wired network or detailed engineering. They will be responsible for writing and implementing procedures related to the evolution of tools and systems used by the design and design support teams.
More specifically, their main responsibilities will include:
- Providing engineering support to operational teams, both on technical aspects and for the IT tools and systems used by the main directorate;
- Assisting design and support teams by providing consulting services, ensuring synergy, knowledge sharing, and guiding best practices among design teams;
- Participating in the continuous improvement of teams' processes, procedures, and work tools by fostering cooperation with all stakeholders while ensuring good change management;
- Implementing new wired technologies, applying and operationalizing design standards while ensuring feedback to planning and operations teams;
- Writing procedures and technical documents as needed;
- Ensuring tools and systems are updated;
- Ensuring good material management regarding forecasts, inventory optimization, and material depletion in operations;
- Implementing and improving various design quality controls, including the creation of performance management indicators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science;
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in telecommunications or a related field linked to design;
- Demonstrate autonomy and leadership;
- Writing skills, and excellent ability to synthesize and communicate directions;
- Basic proficiency in English (spoken and written). The employee will occasionally need to communicate with our English-speaking partners;
- Knowledge of HFC, FTTH, or IP technologies is an asset;
- Member of OIQ is an asset.
