Required Qualifications
Education: Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networks, or related fields; relevant and equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Solid experience in large-scale corporate networks.
- Experience with WAN, LAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, Internet, VPN, and telecommunications.
- Experience with cloud connectivity and hybrid environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of routing, switching, wireless, QoS, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, and remote connectivity.
- Experience with remote site networking and distributed environments.
- Knowledge of network monitoring, observability, event management, and performance analysis.
- Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) processes, including incident, problem, change, major incident, configuration, availability, capacity, and service level management.
- Experience in analyzing and resolving complex technical issues and identifying corrective actions.
- Experience working with MSPs, telecommunications carriers, vendors, and internal technical teams in multi-provider environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Job Responsibilities and Activities
- Support the operation, governance, reliability, security, and continuous improvement of Vale Base Metals' global network connectivity services.
- Support the operation of WAN, LAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, Internet, telecommunications, cloud connectivity, and remote site networks.
- Act as an escalation point for complex network and connectivity issues.
- Ensure network services meet established service levels, architectural standards, and security requirements.
- Support network modernization initiatives, WAN transformation, SD-WAN, wireless, remote site connectivity, and cloud connectivity.
- Support governance of MPLS, Internet, SD-WAN, LTE, Starlink, VPN, cloud interconnect, and datacenter connectivity.
- Support incident and major incident resolution involving WAN, LAN, wireless, telecommunications, Internet, cloud connectivity, and remote sites.
- Perform technical analysis and root cause analysis of recurring outages, instability, and performance degradation.
- Work with MSPs, telecommunications carriers, vendors, and internal teams to define corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor availability, capacity, utilization, latency, packet loss, bandwidth consumption, and performance trends.
- Identify risks of congestion, instability, and opportunities for improving resilience and performance.
- Support the transition of new services, connectivity changes, and site implementations into operation.
- Validate runbooks, monitoring coverage, support models, CMDB records, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Support telecommunications, wireless, LTE, remote access, and remote site connectivity services.
- Validate that remote and mining site connectivity meets operational and business requirements.
- Support resilience strategies and alternative connectivity for critical sites and services.
- Work with vendors and telecommunications carriers to address recurring issues, outages, and service quality concerns.
- Maintain and validate CMDB information, assets, circuit inventories, diagrams, and network documentation.
- Coordinate actions with infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, identity, workplace, Operational Technology, projects, and site teams.
- Translate technical analyses into practical recommendations for managers, service owners, and stakeholders.
- Support and mentor junior professionals and contribute to the evolution of network infrastructure standards.
