What awaits you with us

  1. In the Laser Application Center, you will participate in projects that explore the use of AI and data or sensor fusion for laser applications.
  1. For data generation, you will handle the preprocessing, synchronization, and analysis of multiple data sources to create a reliable basis for further evaluations.
  1. By developing, training, and validating Machine-Learning models, you will contribute to process monitoring, optimization, or Bayesian optimization, for example.
  1. In close collaboration with experienced laser application experts, you will support the integration of data-driven solutions into existing processes.
  1. With your contribution to the connection of data analysis and practical laser application, you will promote the dialogue between research and application practice.

What you bring with you

  1. Studies in Computer Science, Physics, Mechatronics, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable STEM field form your technical foundation.
  1. You have programming knowledge, preferably in Python.
  1. With your structured and independent way of working, as well as a quick grasp, you will reliably tackle new tasks.
  1. Very good German or English skills, both written and spoken, complete your profile.
  1. Ideally, you have initial practical experience in the areas of data fusion, sensor integration, machine learning, or data-based modeling and statistical methods.
