About the Role
Build and maintain production software that turns financial risk methodologies into reliable, customer-facing scores. Working across engineering and financial analysis, you will own scoring integrity, strengthen validation, and help make the analytics codebase safe to change.
What You'll Do
- Implement and maintain production code for risk scoring and related calculations.
- Translate documented methodologies into reliable code and raise questions when requirements are ambiguous.
- Ensure scoring runs are repeatable and safe to rerun after failures.
- Improve scoring performance as portfolio and security volumes grow.
- Contribute to flexible, modular calculation and analytics libraries used by other teams.
- Build a reference-set validation harness that compares engine results with adjudicated examples.
- Integrate validation into CI and report coverage and model drift clearly.
- Maintain production engineering standards, including tests, code review, and CI.
What We're Looking For
- 5 to 10+ years of relevant experience building or supporting production systems.
- A background in computer science, mathematics, engineering, another science, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Experience building golden-data or reference-set validation beyond unit tests.
- Experience with quantitative or analytical software and the judgment to investigate existing production code before changing it.
- Ability to work across multiple analytical areas, not only risk scoring.
