About the Role
Join an early engineering team at a seed-stage AI data company, building reinforcement learning environments from real-world voice and enterprise data. You will also develop production AI agents for enterprise customers and help shape technical direction as the team grows.
What You'll Do
- Build high-quality RL environments using proprietary voice and enterprise datasets.
- Build and deploy AI agents for enterprise customers.
- Partner with company leadership on technical direction and the product roadmap.
- Help lead the engineering function as the team grows.
- Ship quickly while maintaining a high standard of quality.
What We're Looking For
- Three to seven years of engineering experience and strong reinforcement learning fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience building RL environments in an RL or human data setting.
- Experience building and deploying AI agents in production.
- Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable tools in production work.
- Full-stack experience with TypeScript and AWS is a plus.
- Experience with iOS, Swift, or React Native, or a startup background with a strong shipping cadence, is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary is $125,000 to $200,000 annually. OTE (on-target earnings, base plus variable) is $225,000 to $400,000, with variable compensation tied to company profits. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
On-site in San Francisco, California. This role is fully in person with a 5.5-day workweek and Sundays off. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco.
