About the Role

Join an early-stage fintech lending team building an AI-powered finance agent for businesses. As a founding engineer, you will help shape the agent's capabilities and contribute to the financial infrastructure that supports the business. The role offers tech-lead-level autonomy from day one, with most of your time focused on the AI agent.

What You'll Do

  1. Build and extend agent tools that help automate financial tasks and workflows.
  1. Improve the quality, range, and reliability of the agent's end-to-end outcomes.
  1. Compose existing tools and build new capabilities, including email workflows, document completion, payload generation, and account integrations.
  1. Contribute to backend infrastructure used by both lending and agent products.
  1. Work independently through ambiguous problems and deliver in a fast-moving, AI-tool-heavy development environment.

What We're Looking For

  1. Zero to five years of engineering experience, with strong ownership and the ability to ramp quickly in unfamiliar codebases.
  1. Experience building Python backend systems, including APIs, asynchronous patterns, databases, and cloud deployment.
  1. Daily use of Claude Code, Codex, or comparable agentic coding tools, with strong opinions about agent system design.
  1. Experience shipping projects with minimal direction and taking ownership of ambiguous scope.

Visa sponsorship is not available.

  1. Interest in fintech, lending, or business financial workflows; TypeScript frontend experience is useful.
