Job Summary

Prepares items for shipment according to TCP standards pending upon department assignment.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  1. Following guided procedures to ensure each shipment is processed according to TCP standards
  2. Ensure that all packages are inspected for proper labeling and packaging
  3. Identify and Notify Supervisor of any irregularities and assist in troubleshooting any shipping discrepancies
  4. Receive cases using an automated conveyor system and/or radio frequency scanners
  5. Compare identifying information verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
  6. Physically palletize cases and systematically input data utilizing radio frequency scanners
  7. Route items to departments
  8. Disperse merchandise to individual stores according to pick lights
  9. Perform audits verifying sku quantity
  10. Use RF technology to complete cartons for stores and/or replace with new carton
  11. Place empty totes on the tote take away line
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work area
  13. Provide excellent customer service to delivery drivers as well as internal departments

Education and Experience

  1. Regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus
  2. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
  3. Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions and to write correspondence
  4. Basic math skills are required, such as the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  5. Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions and the ability to effectively communicate with Supervisor
  6. Basic PC skills are required
