YOUR TASKS – THIS IS WHERE YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Contribute to the development, planning, and implementation of a comprehensive Zero Trust Network Architecture
- Design and implement micro-segmentation strategies to prevent lateral movement of threats within the network
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies and solutions in the field of network security
- Operate, monitor, and continuously develop Zero Trust Network systems and components
- Manage and optimize Network Detection and Response (NDR) systems for detecting anomalies and security incidents in network traffic
- Analyze network traffic to identify vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors
- Support the Incident Response team in analyzing, containing, and resolving network-based security incidents
- Close collaboration and coordination with the IT Security Team, the Network Operations Team, and Cloud and System Architects.
- Advise business units and IT projects on all aspects of network security.
YOUR PROFILE – WHAT YOU BRING
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification with several years of relevant professional experience in network engineering
- Initial knowledge in the conception and implementation of Zero Trust Architectures
- Experience in network segmentation and ideally micro-segmentation.
- In-depth understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP) and their security aspects.
- Knowledge in Network Detection and Response (NDR), Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), and network log analysis.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, as well as a structured and solution-oriented approach to work
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills for effective collaboration in interdisciplinary teams
- High degree of initiative, sense of responsibility, and willingness to learn
- Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
- Experience with network security concepts in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous
