Company: Superior Alarm Systems (SAS)
Who We Are
Lead Commercial Security Technician III: $36–$43/hr + Company Truck
Superior Alarm Systems is a commercial security integrator operating at the high end of the market — pharmaceutical facilities, entertainment studios, global manufacturing campuses, and executive-level environments. Our clients have complex, integrated security ecosystems, and our technicians are expected to match that standard on day one.
We're expanding our Bay Area field team and looking for a Technician III who can own installations independently, solve problems without hand-holding, and is ready to take on a leadership role on the job site.
Your work protects some of the most secure buildings in the Bay Area.
We're growing fast and looking for a Security Technician III who wants to lead the job. You'll own installs from rough-in to commissioning, lead a small crew and turn in work you'd be proud to show anyone.
Why techs are making the move to SAS
- $36–$43/hr, overtime eligibility. Your pay reflects your skills, not just your years.
- Company truck & gas card. Show up and go to work.
- A real path to Technician IV. We promote from our own crews, and you'll know exactly what it takes to move up.
- Paid certifications in Genetec, Lenel, Bosch [and more]. We invest in your skills on our dime.
- National backing, local crew. SAS is part of Cobalt Service Partners, a fast-growing group of 20+ security companies. That means the resources and stability of a big company with the feel of a tight local team.
- Medical with up to 95% of premiums covered, plus dental, vision and a 401(k) [with match]
- 2 weeks PTO, 7 sick days and 7 paid holidays
What your days look like
- Leading installs across access control, IP video, intrusion and intercom, from first conduit to final sign-off
- Commissioning integrated systems and solving the tricky problems other people escalate
- Turning engineered drawings into clean, labeled, inspection-ready installs
- Teaching Tech I and II teammates the habits that make great techs
- Working with your Tech IV to keep the jobsite on schedule and the quality high
You'll thrive here if you have
- 3+ years installing commercial security systems (enterprise, industrial, institutional or pharma)
- Hands-on install and commissioning experience with access control, IP cameras, intrusion and electrified door hardware
- Experience with at least one enterprise platform: Genetec, Lenel, Bosch, C•CURE, AMAG, Avigilon or similar
- Confidence reading prints, wiring diagrams and schematics
- The drive to run your own day and take pride in the finished product
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record
Bonus points: multi-phase project experience, Bluebeam or D-Tools, ESA/NTS or manufacturer certs, a CA low-voltage card, or experience training other techs.
