About the opportunity
We are looking for an experienced freelance SAP PP Consultant (m/f/d) for an SAP S/4HANA transformation and rollout project at a technical trading company with its own manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes and gather business requirements in collaboration with key users
- Design and customize SAP PP processes in SAP S/4HANA
- Support the Swiss SAP rollout and the replacement of an existing ERP system
- Conduct fit-gap analyses and align requirements with the existing SAP template
- Map and optimize bills of materials, routings, work centers, production orders, and confirmations
- Support the integration of SAP PP with adjacent modules such as MM, SD, and CO
- Provide functional support for data migration and coordinate necessary adjustments with the development team
- Support testing, user acceptance, go-live, and subsequent stabilization
Requirements
- Several years of practical experience as an SAP PP Consultant, ideally with SAP S/4HANA
- Good knowledge of SAP PP customizing and mapping manufacturing processes
- Experience with bills of materials, routings, work centers, production orders, and confirmations
- Experience in SAP implementation, rollout, or transformation projects
- Understanding of the integration of SAP PP with adjacent SAP modules, especially MM and CO
- Ability to gather and structure business requirements and translate them into pragmatic SAP solutions
- Independent, structured working style and experience in collaborating with business departments and key users
- Very good German and good English skills for project communication
Desirable Additional Qualifications
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA template rollouts or brownfield conversions
- Knowledge of data migration, for example with the SAP Migration Cockpit
- Experience with SAP EWM or in-depth integration processes between PP, MM, SD, and CO
- Knowledge of discrete manufacturing, small-batch production, or customer-specific production
- Experience in pipe, hose, or linear product manufacturing
- Knowledge of Sage or other mid-market ERP systems
