The Role

You'll own product, and you'll write code every day: our customer platform, the internal tools our team runs on, and the AI-native operating system behind how Reach works. You'll take what we have today and make it much better.

You'll start as an exceptionally strong individual contributor who leads by example. As Reach scales, you'll build and lead the team. We plan to stay lean, which is why we need a builder first.

You will own three things:

1. Own the product

Decide what we build, and make sure it moves the business.

Stay close to the work: talk to customers and to our strategists every week, and find where things are slow, manual or unclear.

Own the roadmap with the CEO: what we build next, what we don't build, and why.

Turn services into software: take what our experts do by hand today and turn it into product.

Measure what you ship: usage, time saved, customer results and revenue. Fix what doesn't work.

2. Build the platform, internal tools and AI-native operating system

You'll write code every day. You'll take what we have and make it faster, more reliable and easier to build on.

The Reach platform: the product our customers use to monitor and grow their visibility in Google and AI search.

Internal tools: the apps our team runs on every day, for account research, customer delivery, reporting and sales.

Our AI-native operating system: the agents, skills and workflows that run research, delivery, sales and operations across Reach.

Ship end to end: data, backend, frontend and AI, all the way to production.

3. Lead by example, then build the team

Set the bar for how we build: speed, quality, and how we use AI to write and run software.

Work with our three engineers every day: architecture, code reviews and priorities.

Hire the next engineers when the work clearly calls for it, and keep the team lean.

Grow into leading product and engineering as Reach scales.

About Reach

At Reach we're building the operating system to help companies monitor and control their visibility in AI search. We combine our platform, custom AI agents, and the top 1% of hands-on experts in organic growth (SEO & AEO) to help companies show up when buyers are researching and comparing solutions on Google and inside AI search engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity, and turn that visibility into pipeline and revenue.

We've reached $1.4M ARR, mostly bootstrapped, growing fast, and targeting $10M ARR by the end of 2027. We've been doing this for companies like Globalfy, Praktika.ai, LegalFly, ColdIQ (#1 Clay worldwide sales agency), Indie Campers, Carro, Fidelidade, Fraudio, Noxus and others.

Our team has a proven track record of building and scaling fast growing tech companies. Jose Velez (CEO) was the solo founder & CEO of Rely.io, an internal developer portal used by top engineering orgs like ESPN Bet and Feedzai, and launched AI products that reached #1 Product of the Day and #1 AI Product of the month on Product Hunt. He raised $3.6M from top-tier firms like J12 Ventures, Shilling Capital Partners, Techstars NYC, and TheVentureCity, as well as from notable angels.

Alex Muresan (founding Head of Growth) is a 4x founder with 2 exits, and an operator who bets on distribution over product.

Bernardo Ferreira (founding AI search strategist) led the strategy behind more than 250M organic visits and {proof:worten.seo_revenue} in revenue attributed to SEO at Worten (think Iberian Amazon) in 2024.

You own product and engineering, end to end. There's no product manager to hand things to. You decide what to build with the CEO as your partner, then you build it and ship it.

You build the whole system. The platform our customers use, the tools our strategists and sales team use every day, and the agents that run the company. Few roles let you shape both the product and how the company operates.

Real customers, real usage. Paying customers and our own expert team use our software every day. What you ship gets used within days.

Lean on purpose. You'll hire and lead engineers as we grow, and we'll keep the team small. Your edge comes from AI and from what you build.

Right in the middle of the AI search shift. How buyers find and choose companies is moving to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI. We work on that every day.

This role is based in Lisbon, in person, working side by side with our engineering team. If you need to relocate, we'll support it, including visa sponsorship where possible. Expect regular travel to our New York hub.

Minimum requirements

are a 10x product builder. You've taken products from idea to real users, mostly with your own hands.

have owned product end to end: deciding what to build, building it, launching it and measuring it.

are a strong full-stack engineer across data, backend, frontend and LLMs, and you still ship production code every week.

are AI native. You build with AI coding agents every day, and you design products where AI does real work.

are passionate about search: SEO, AI search, and the tools companies use to win on Google and inside ChatGPT.

ideally have a background in growth and go-to-market. You've built for growth, worked closely with sales and marketing, or grown a product yourself.

have product taste. You care how the product feels and you know when something is ready to ship.

want to lead by example and grow into leading a small, exceptional team.

Bonus points

You've worked on an SEO, AI search, marketing or GTM product.

You've been a founder, or an early engineer at a startup that scaled.

You've built agents or internal tools that changed how a company works.
