About the opportunity
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Architect – Financial Services to support customers in designing and implementing cloud modernization and technology transformation solutions.
This role combines technical expertise, customer engagement, and solution architecture capabilities. The successful candidate will collaborate with financial institutions to understand their business and technical requirements, assess existing technology environments, and recommend cloud, data, and infrastructure solutions that deliver business value.
Working closely with senior architects, Sales teams, and technical specialists, you will contribute to cloud adoption initiatives, architecture assessments, solution design, and modernization projects.
The ideal candidate brings practical experience in cloud architecture, enterprise infrastructure, database technologies, and customer-facing technical roles, along with an interest in the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities 1.
Cloud Architecture & Technology Modernization *
- Design and recommend secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions based on customer requirements. *
- Assess existing infrastructure, databases, and applications to identify cloud adoption and modernization opportunities. *
- Contribute to cloud migration strategies, including hybrid and multicloud environments. *
- Provide technical guidance on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), enterprise databases, and related cloud technologies. *
- Participate in technical discovery sessions, architecture design, proof of concepts (POCs), and implementation planning. *
- Collaborate with senior architects and specialists on complex technical requirements. 2.
Technical Consulting & Customer Advisory *
- Work with financial services customers to understand their technology environments, business needs, and modernization objectives. *
- Participate in technical discussions with enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, IT managers, and other customer stakeholders. *
- Translate customer requirements into practical technical recommendations and architecture proposals. *
- Develop and present solution designs, technical documentation, and architecture recommendations. *
- Evaluate technology alternatives based on technical feasibility, scalability, security, and operational requirements. *
- Support the development of cloud adoption and technology modernization roadmaps. 3.
Financial Services Industry Knowledge *
- Develop an understanding of technology challenges within banking, insurance, fintech, and other financial services organizations. *
- Support initiatives involving cloud modernization, enterprise infrastructure, databases, and digital transformation. *
- Consider security, regulatory, data protection, and business continuity requirements when recommending technical solutions. *
- Collaborate with internal teams to address industry-specific customer needs. *
- Stay informed about technology trends relevant to the financial services industry. 4.
Customer Engagement & Solution Development *
- Partner with Sales and technical teams to support customer engagements and cloud opportunities. *
- Conduct technical workshops, solution demonstrations, architecture discussions, and proof-of-concept activities. *
- Prepare technical proposals and solution presentations tailored to customer requirements. *
- Support customers throughout the solution evaluation and cloud adoption process. *
- Build productive relationships with customer technical teams and internal stakeholders. 5.
Data, AI & Emerging Technologies *
- Support the identification of opportunities involving enterprise data platforms, analytics, and artificial intelligence. *
- Participate in discussions about data-driven and AI use cases relevant to customer business needs. *
- Contribute to architectural recommendations for integrating cloud, data, and AI technologies. *
- Collaborate with specialists to evaluate emerging technologies and their potential applications. 6.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Technical Development *
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and other technical teams. *
- Work with senior architects and subject matter experts to address complex customer requirements. *
- Contribute to technical documentation, reference architectures, solution presentations, and best practices. *
- Share technical knowledge and lessons learned with colleagues. *
- Continuously develop expertise in cloud infrastructure, databases, data platforms, and emerging technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
CLOUD ARCHITECTURE & ENTERPRISE TECHNOLOGY *
- Experience designing, implementing, or supporting enterprise cloud solutions using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or other major cloud platforms. *
- Good understanding of enterprise infrastructure, cloud migration, hybrid cloud environments, and modernization initiatives. *
- Working knowledge of enterprise database technologies, including architecture, integration, performance, and scalability. *
- Ability to analyze customer technical requirements and recommend practical architecture solutions. *
- Experience supporting cloud implementation, migration, or solution design projects.
CONSULTING & CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT *
- Experience in solution architecture, technical consulting, professional services, presales engineering, or customer-facing technical roles. *
- Ability to engage effectively with enterprise customers and technical stakeholders. *
- Experience participating in technical workshops, architecture discussions, and solution presentations. *
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences. *
- Ability to work independently on defined technical assignments while collaborating with senior specialists on complex initiatives.
FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY *
- Experience working with financial services customers or supporting technology initiatives in banking, insurance, fintech, or related industries. *
- Familiarity with technology challenges in regulated environments, including data security, system availability, and operational resilience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS *
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. *
- Good collaboration, organization, and stakeholder management capabilities. *
- Advanced English proficiency, including written and verbal communication. *
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. *
- Ability to travel as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS *
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle Database technologies. *
- Knowledge of enterprise data architecture, analytics, and database modernization. *
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, or generative AI solutions. *
- Experience supporting cloud migration or digital transformation initiatives. *
- Familiarity with cloud security, governance, compliance, and resilience requirements. *
- Cloud certifications from Oracle, AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. *
- Experience contributing to technical proposals, solution assessments, and cloud adoption roadmaps.

Typically requires: *
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in cloud technologies, enterprise infrastructure, solution architecture, technical consulting, or related areas. *
- Experience working with enterprise applications, databases, or cloud platforms. *
- Ability to analyze customer requirements and develop technical recommendations. *
- Strong presentation, communication, and technical documentation skills. *
- Experience participating in customer-facing technical engagements. *
- Good understanding of solution positioning, technical value propositions, and customer requirements. *
- Ability to travel as needed. *
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience; advanced degree or relevant technical certifications are a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
