As a Software Engineer II on the Technology team, a typical day for you will include:

  1. Responsible for developing and maintaining custom software using Neighborly® standard coding practices and techniques
  1. Responsible for developing functioning solutions based on technical requirements
  1. Responsible for ensuring tasks assigned are completed in a timely manner
  1. Responsible for documenting and communicating application design, topologies, and architecture in an understandable way to peers and the business
  1. Assists the team in researching solutions and recommends solutions to meet business requirements.
  1. Strong query development through SQL, including CRUD operations, Stored Procedures, and Functions utilizing standard formatting practices

Minimum requirements

* Experience

  1. 4+ years experience in application development
  1. Knowledge and experience in Microsoft.Net technologies, with an emphasis on C#
  1. Knowledge and experience in common API technologies including SOAP and REST.

* Skills

  1. Ability to understand and utilize JSON and XML
  1. Ability to communicate (verbally and written) effectively
  1. Ability and eagerness to learn and adapt quickly to new systems.
  1. Must be proactive, detail oriented and possess strong time management skills.
  1. Self-starter.  Ability to work autonomously with little support.
  1. High computer literacy including strong experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook is required.

* Education

  1. Associates or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
  1. Data Science background

* Schedule / in-office requirements

  1. Hybrid working model; Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday/Friday from home.
  1. Our office locations are at:
  1. 500 E John Carpenter Fwy, Irving, Tx
  1. 1010 N University Parks Drive, Waco, Tx

* Schedule: Full time M-F
