As a Senior Fullstack Developer (m/f/d), you will work independently on complex, business-critical commerce systems. You will take responsibility from planning to implementation, proactively identify areas for improvement, and measurably contribute to the further development of our webshop with your work. A special focus is on migrating our webshop to a new platform – a central transformation project with high technical and functional complexity.

At Mister Spex, technology is a central component of our business. As Europe's leading omnichannel optician, we develop high-performance e-commerce platforms that are used daily by a large customer base – both in our webshop and in close integration with our stores.
Your Responsibilities
- Independent implementation of complex tasks in the e-commerce environment with full responsibility for quality, stability, and results
- Active participation in the migration of our webshop to a new platform – from technical conception to the gradual replacement of existing solutions
- Development and further development of sophisticated features in Frontend and Backend within a cloud-based system landscape
- Forward-looking planning of your tasks, including early identification of risks and development of suitable solution options
- Active optimization of existing processes and technical solutions through targeted identification of inefficiencies
- Knowledge sharing within the team and support for other engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and mentoring
Minimum requirements
Your Requirements
- Several years of experience in the development and further development of professional digital commerce solutions, e.g., in the context of online shops, product platforms, or transaction-related systems
- Very good practical knowledge of the tech stack that shapes our daily development work: Backend: Java, Node.js Frontend: JavaScript, TypeScript, React (ideally Next.js) Cloud & Platform: AWS, Kubernetes, Docker
- Experience with cloud-based applications in production environments
- Confident work in agile setups and a structured, self-reliant way of working *
- Very good German language skills to confidently discuss complex technical topics, accurately understand requirements, and actively participate in coordination, reviews, and decision-making processes in the German-speaking work environment
