We are seeking a professional passionate about software quality, who has an owner's mindset and is obsessed with ensuring the best experience for our users. In addition to classic quality assurance and software testing skills, we are looking for someone with a modern mindset, ready to work in a dynamic environment, and who knows how to leverage Artificial Intelligence tools to scale their own productivity in generating test scenarios, automation, and bug investigation.
Responsibilities
As part of our technology team, you will be the guardian of our products' quality and an evangelist for good engineering practices. Your main missions will be:
- High-Performance Automation: Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable test automation frameworks for Web, Mobile, and APIs applications.
- Test Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans (functional, regression, exploratory, and integration), identifying critical scenarios and ensuring adequate coverage of our solutions.
- AI-Assisted Productivity and Quality: Actively use AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, among others) to accelerate BDD/TDD scenario ideation, generate automation scripts, mock test data, and analyze complex error logs.
- Shift-Left Culture: Participate from the feature conception stage, refining acceptance criteria with the Product team and ensuring quality is considered even before the first line of code is written.
- Continuous Testing: Integrate automated test suites into our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring secure deployments and rapid feedback to the development team.
- Agile Collaboration: Work in a multidisciplinary way with Product, Backend, and Frontend teams, helping to identify root causes of problems (troubleshooting) and ensuring a continuous standard of excellence.
Technical Requirements
- Solid experience (around 3 years) working as a QA/Test Analyst, with a strong focus on automation.
- Practical mastery of modern automation frameworks, preferably Cypress or Playwright.
- Good programming knowledge for test automation (such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or Java).
- Solid experience with RESTful API testing (using tools like Postman, Insomnia, RestAssured, or Supertest).
- "AI-First" mindset for quality: Ease and interest in working with AI agents/assistants daily to optimize test creation and documentation.
- Embedded version control culture (Git/Gitflow) and familiarity with writing scenarios in Gherkin/BDD.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins).
Soft Skills
- Curiosity and continuous learning: genuine interest in AI, new technologies, automation tools, and experimenting with different solutions.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving: ability to analyze complex scenarios, question system behaviors (think outside the box), and identify vulnerabilities.
- Proactivity and autonomy: initiative to investigate problems, propose process improvements, and conduct activities with independence appropriate for a mid-level role.
- Collaboration: ease of working together with people from technology, product, data, and business areas, fostering a culture where "quality is everyone's responsibility."
- Clear communication: ability to report bugs, document processes, and share technical decisions and challenges objectively, including with non-technical audiences.
Preferred
- Experience with performance and load testing (e.g., k6, JMeter, or Gatling).
- Familiarity with accessibility testing (a11y) and visual regression testing.
- Basic knowledge of Prompt Engineering applied to test scenario generation and synthetic data.
- Experience with testing AI-based applications and LLMs (evaluating AI hallucinations, response consistency, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases for queries and data integrity validation.
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Datadog, New Relic, Sentry) for analyzing production bugs.
