Introduction

We are looking for new colleagues! Migrando is a legal tech company based in Cottbus. Our mission is to make the complicated and lengthy naturalization process more efficient and customer-friendly. With our expertise in immigration law, our legal competence, and a strong team of numerous employees, we successfully guide thousands of clients on their path to German citizenship. It is best to get an impression right away at migrando(.)de/karriere, our career page. Because we can write whatever we want here, in the end, it remains a boring introduction.

We don't care what certificates you have or where you studied. What interests us is: What can you actually do? Anyone who has worked in practice for years and gained hands-on experience brings more to the table than any course degree. We are looking for colleagues who ideally have several years of experience and are ready to take on responsibility.

What we offer you

No rigid processes, no micromanagement. With us, you decide how you work – with tools you can help shape yourself and colleagues who think along with you. We are constantly developing new systems to optimize our work instead of just closing tickets. And if something ever burns: we put it out together.

High-end hardware of your choice

Whether it's a MacBook or a Windows tower. You get the machine you perform best on, including 4K monitors.

Real personal responsibility

You are not one of many in a long chain of responsibility. You work independently in your area – with a direct line to all teams and management, without three hierarchy levels in between.

Small teams instead of an open-plan office

You work in manageable teams where people know each other and can quickly start a conversation.

Music at work

We don't frown if you put on headphones. If it helps you (and doesn't bother anyone else), you are also welcome to pump heavy metal through a sound system at your desk.

Modern old-building office in the heart of Cottbus

High ceilings, plenty of daylight, plants in the rooms, and an inner courtyard for a break in between. You can take a look at our premises on our website.

Ergonomic workstation with modern equipment

Back-friendly chair, height-adjustable desk, two large monitors, a high-quality headset, a powerful laptop, and a quiet environment.

Home office option

Basically, we work in the office because on-site collaboration and exchange are important to us. At the same time, working from home is possible at any time. Even spontaneously and without long coordination.

Trust-based working hours without core hours

We have no prescribed time windows in which you must be present.

Flexible part-time models

Whether a 4-day week, 30 hours, or an individual model. Your job should fit your life, not the other way around.

Take vacation spontaneously

Sometimes you just need a break. We plan our teams so that spontaneous days off are also possible, without any stress or guilty conscience.

Family-friendly culture

Sick children, parent-teacher evenings, or short-notice doctor appointments – we know that such situations are part of everyday life. Family and health have priority for us.

Short paths

With us, you don't have to climb through hierarchies or write long emails to be heard. You can speak directly to colleagues, team leads, or management at any time. Decisions are made quickly, communication is direct, and no one sits in an ivory tower.

Help shape things instead of just processing them

We are looking for colleagues who think along with us. If you have an idea of how a process can run better, a tool would be useful, or a workflow could work smarter, you will be heard.

Meaningful work

Your work has a direct impact on people's lives. You support them in arriving in Germany, finding security, and starting a new chapter. This is not dry office work – it is work with real meaning and tangible impact.

In-house feel-good offers

Our feel-good manager regularly provides small breaks – from neck and shoulder massages to short relaxation and beauty sessions to moments to catch your breath.

Regular team events

We like to celebrate. Summer party by the lake, cozy Christmas party, Halloween bash, joint lunches, or after-work dinners with the department. Our events ensure that we grow together as a team and can also put everyday work aside. But don't worry: attendance is not mandatory, and leaving early is no problem either.

In-house fitness room

Our own fitness room is available to you directly in the building – free of charge, well-equipped, and accessible at any time.

Possible areas of responsibility

You plan, maintain, and develop systems that move our company forward. You take care of servers, networks, and security – and have all the freedom to make processes smarter.

Administration and maintenance

  1. You maintain our internal servers, take care of updates, backups, and ensure that all systems run stably.

Network administration

  1. You monitor and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.

Data backup & recovery

  1. You plan, check, and test backups regularly. You ensure that no data is lost in an emergency.

Technical support in everyday life

  1. You are one of the first points of contact for IT questions and help colleagues with problems. Via chat or on-site.

Setting up new workstations

  1. You set up new PCs, notebooks, and monitors, take care of software installations and network settings.

System migrations

  1. You plan and accompany the transition to new systems. Be it an update, new software, or new hardware.

Evaluating new technologies

  1. You test new tools, check their practical suitability, and recommend what really helps us.

Coordination with service providers

  1. You look after external providers, partners, or remote developers and coordinate your work with them.

Interfaces & automations

  1. You connect systems via APIs or tools like N8N. This makes processes more efficient and reduces clicking and errors to a minimum.

Domain management

  1. You have an overview of our active website domains and are able to provide internal tools locally or online for exactly the right teams in a secure and performant manner.

Your profile

No certificate in the world replaces real practical experience. That is exactly what we are looking for. Whether you have gained it on the job, in your own projects, or on your own – we are interested in what you can really do, what you have already done in the area, and what you still want to achieve. Direct communication, willingness to learn, as well as fun and curiosity about the work are more important to us than any degree. We are looking for colleagues who ideally have several years of experience and are ready to take on responsibility.

  1. You bring sound experience in IT administration or similar areas.
  1. Local networks, cloud servers, API interfaces, automation, and VPNs are not foreign words to you.
  1. You have basic knowledge of system architecture, networks, or server landscapes.
  1. You prefer to find sustainable solutions rather than quick workarounds.
  1. You have experience with Google Workspace, Windows, MacOS, Docker, databases (Supabase), or similar platforms.
  1. You are familiar with networks, firewalls, and/or VPNs.
  1. You are eager to learn new things regularly – whether tools, trends, or technologies.
  1. You have a plan for backup strategies, know how to handle personal data (storage, processing, deletion), and understand how to make an authenticated API call.

You don't need a degree or 30 further training courses. We want to find talent and capable new colleagues. Even if you don't meet all the points here - we are looking for experienced and responsible colleagues; ideally, you have been active in the field for many years and have been able to take away many learnings. Because that is exactly what we are interested in: clean, long-term robust problem solutions. And you usually only have those after you have had to learn it the hard way for some time.

You are communicative and open. Actually, we don't want to write generic things here, but this point is important. Good cooperation is often just as important as pure experience. A colleague with whom cooperation is pleasant and smooth can be more valuable in everyday life than someone with more know-how but with whom communication is rather sluggish.

You speak German or English or ideally both (approx. B2 level). Don't worry, we don't expect proof of language level.

  1. If you also have experience with CRM systems – even better!
