About the opportunity

Under the direct supervision of the Shift Manager, Security, this position is responsible for the safety and protection of team members, guests, the facility (both internal and external) and the company's assets while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports the company's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Monitors, documents and prepares statements and/or reports on violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons or activities
  2. Enforces restricted access by unauthorized persons
  3. Observes transactions, pulls, fills, transfers, etc.
  4. Escorts cash/cash equivalents
  5. Tags and reports found property; transfers items to Lost and Found
  6. Conducts regular patrols of the facility interior and exterior as directed
  7. Escorts guests and team members as directed
  8. Performs identification checks as required
  9. Refers disputes to the Supervisor, Security
  10. Performs crowd control as directed
  11. May perform electronic surveillance of non-gaming facilities, including exterior and adjacent properties at some locations
  12. May enroll guests in the Self-Exclusion Program
  13. Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  14. Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
  15. Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  16. Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Education and Qualifications

  1. Must be available to work a flexible schedule including, overnights, weekends and holidays
  2. Must be comfortable working 10 hour shifts
  3. Minimum 2 years of work experience
  4. Serving it Right Certificate
  5. Security license an asset
  6. Occupational First Aid Level 2 Certificate an asset
  7. Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
  8. Fluency in other languages an asset

Standing for long periods and working non‑traditional hours—including evenings, weekends, and holidays—to support the dynamic, guest‑focused environment of a 24/7 resort and casino.
