As an internet service provider with approximately 10 million managed domains, InterNetX is one of the top providers in the market. The heart of our domain management is AutoDNS, featuring a distributed landscape of microservices, interfaces to registries, and specialized systems in a high-availability environment. For our agile development team at the Regensburg location, we are looking for support from a dedicated individual who will actively contribute to AutoDNS – optionally in Backend, Frontend, or both areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development and expansion of scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot (partially PHP) in the areas of domain, server, and certificate management, as well as the integration of external APIs.
- Writing unit and integration tests, reviewing merge requests, and helping shape CI/CD pipelines via GitLab and Kubernetes.
- Error analysis based on logs and databases, as well as sustainable root cause resolution.
- Contribution to professional and technical further developments (e.g., new regulatory requirements, billing, monitoring, and stability).
- Active use and co-design of modern AI tools in the daily workflow (e.g., AI coding assistants for refactoring, tests, code reviews, and custom AI agents).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in a computer science-related degree program (e.g., Computer Science, Business Informatics, Media Informatics) with the possibility of working alongside your studies.
- Experience in Backend with Java and Spring / Spring Boot, confident handling of relational databases, and basic knowledge of REST/web services.
- Basic knowledge of Git and interest in working with GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
- Curiosity about using AI tools in everyday development and a critical eye for their results.
- Structured, goal-oriented, and independent working style, strong team spirit, and communication skills.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
- Advantageous: Knowledge of Kafka, Elasticsearch, microservice architecture, database optimization, or initial exposure to DNS/domain administration.
