Get to Know Inter

As pioneers, we transformed the market by launching Brazil’s first digital bank and continue to shape the future with cutting-edge technology.

We have evolved into a Global Financial Super App, delivering complete solutions and leading innovation. Here, work has purpose: creating real opportunities, transforming people’s lives, and reshaping the financial market.

This is the Inter way of making things happen. If you want to be part of this transformation and leave your mark, your place is here.

Become Sangue Laranja.

You will lead one of the workstreams within the Corporate Credit engineering area at Inter, supporting and evolving credit products and journeys for companies with technical solidity, strong partnership with Product and Operations, and a focus on quality, scale, and compliance. The mission is to ensure consistent delivery in a critical and regulated domain, raising the technical standard, reducing rework, and strengthening the team's culture of ownership.

In your day-to-day, you will

  1. Lead leaders and multidisciplinary squads, focusing on prioritization, capacity management, tracking production deliveries, and developing tech leads and developers;
  1. Ensure a sustainable execution pace: planning, tracking goals/OKRs, removing blockers, and maintaining continuous alignment with Product and stakeholders;
  1. Participate in and drive domain architecture decisions (e.g., integrations, contracts/formalization, payments, collateral, and other product flows), evaluating trade-offs, risks, and solution scalability;
  1. Promote engineering standards and practices: foster architecture guilds, standardization, code quality, testing, observability, and postmortems for relevant incidents;
  1. Translate demands from Product, Operations, and partner areas into a realistic technical roadmap, negotiating scope, deadlines, and risks with clarity (including for non-technical audiences);
  1. Monitor and act on engineering and operational metrics related to deliveries (e.g., availability/SLA, lead time, incidents, journey time);
  1. Support high-impact incident response, leading diagnostics, remediation plans, and preventive actions;
  1. Ensure traceability and adherence to security, data, and compliance policies and practices applicable to financial systems;
  1. Conduct people management routines: 1:1s, feedback, development plans, hiring, and training successors.

What we are looking for

  1. Proven experience leading leaders and software engineering teams (multidisciplinary squads), with people management, prioritization, and tracking production deliveries.
  1. Solid technical background and career in software development (preferably backend), with the ability to evaluate architecture, integrations, data, and code quality, even while in a management role;
  1. Experience in complex and regulated domains, preferably credit, banking, fintech, or financial services;
  1. Experience in a digital product environment at scale, partnering with Product Management, negotiating scope/deadlines/risks, and aligning with business and operations areas;
  1. Practical knowledge of APIs, relational databases, messaging/events, and observability practices, CI/CD, and critical system operations;
  1. Ability to provide technical direction at the level expected for leadership: reading critical PRs, reviewing technical decisions/ADRs, and supporting failure analysis in production (daily coding is not required);
  1. Clear communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders (product, operations, compliance/regulatory, accounting, etc.);
  1. Experience with engineering metrics (e.g., availability, lead time, quality) and a culture of postmortems and continuous improvement;
  1. Strong sense of ownership and accountability, including during times of crisis, with ethics and regulatory sensitivity.

Preferred

  1. Specific experience with corporate credit or corporate products (collateral, collections, release, portfolio);
  1. Experience in legacy modernization and service/event-oriented architecture;
  1. Experience with: Java, Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL/SQL Server and cloud (or similar);
