We are looking for a Senior DBA to act in the evolution, support, and modernization of the database platform.
The environment is predominantly AWS and involves relational databases (Oracle and SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB), including legacy applications that require behavioral analysis, technical investigation, and understanding of inter-system dependencies.
This position goes beyond traditional database administration. We are looking for a professional with strong analytical skills, an automation mindset, and the ability to partner with development teams, contributing to migration, modernization, and environment optimization initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Administer and support Oracle and SQL Server databases in a AWS environment.
- Act in the MongoDB environment, conducting analyses of the current environment and supporting migration initiatives to managed solutions.
- Perform assessments of legacy databases, investigating behaviors, objects, dependencies, and integrations with applications.
- Conduct and support environment migration and modernization projects, focusing on operational efficiency, performance, and cost optimization.
- Work closely with development teams, understanding how applications use and consume database resources.
- Automate operational workflows, monitoring, and recurring activities.
- Work with infrastructure as code and version control in daily operations.
- Contribute to the reliability, availability, and efficiency of environments, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and reduction of operational risks.
Requirements
- Solid experience as a DBA, with mastery of Oracle Exadata and knowledge of SQL Server.
- Experience in AWS environments, OCI, and managed database services.
- Knowledge of MongoDB or interest in working with NoSQL technologies in migration and modernization projects.
- Understanding of how applications connect and manage connection pools with databases.
- Experience with infrastructure as code and version control (Git, Terraform, Atlantis, or similar tools).
- Collaborative profile, with good communication and interaction with development and operations teams.
- Mindset oriented towards automation, continuous improvement, and process optimization.
Preferred
- Previous experience in financial institutions, banks, brokerages, or investment market companies.
- Experience with migration and modernization of MongoDB environments to managed solutions.
- Experience with observability and monitoring via code.
- Experience in highly regulated, critical, or high-availability environments.
- Experience in data platform transformation and modernization projects.
