About the Department
For the "Software & Hardware Framework" department, we are looking for a "Software Developer (w/m/d)" at our Oberkochen site as soon as possible.

Your Responsibilities *
- Conception, development, and maintenance of a cross-functional software framework – primarily in Rust
- Contribution to software architecture through the development of technical designs and concepts, with a special focus on secure and performant Rust designs/implementations
- Development of robust, memory-safe software components under Linux
- Setup and maintenance of Rust build and release pipelines (Cargo, crates.io) as well as the use of other modern software technologies (Git, Atlassian Tools, Containers, etc.)
- Implementation of asynchronous, concurrent software with Tokio
- Code reviews with a focus on Rust best practices (Ownership/Borrowing, Lifetimes, Error Handling)
- Agile planning and implementation of software development (SCRUM)
Your Profile *
- Completed degree in Computer Science or related fields with a focus on software development
- Sound, practical experience in Rust; interest in further developing as a Rust expert within the team
- Experience with network protocols and interfaces (TCP/UDP, QUIC, HTTP(S), WebSockets, MQTT, serialization, and TLS)
- Proficient use of Git, build pipelines, unit tests, and test automation
- Analytical, networked thinking and independent approach
- Team player with strong social skills and enthusiasm
- Innovative and creative
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, are essential
- Advanced knowledge in one of the following areas is desirable: C++, TypeScript (Frontend and Backend development, API design, Node.js/Deno environment) or web development (ideally Svelte)
- Experience in embedded development with Linux (AArch64) and containerization is desirable
