Dual Study Program: "IT-Security" (f/m/d), Start 2027

For our Learning Space department, we are looking for a dual student for the IT-Security degree program in cooperation with the DHBW at our Ulm location, starting 01.09.2027.

Your Tasks

The academic portion at the Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Friedrichshafen provides you with the theoretical foundations for the practical phases within the company, where you will gain direct insight into the field of computer engineering. Theory and practice phases alternate on a regular basis.

In the IT Security specialization, unlike in classic computer science degree programs, programming does not play a central role. Instead, significant emphasis is placed on legal aspects. In addition to core computer science knowledge such as programming, digital technology, databases, and software engineering fundamentals, students engage with current attack scenarios and learn to apply IT security techniques in the design of systems, networks, clouds, and data.

In practice, as part of the team and depending on your progress in the program, you will take on project tasks leading up to your bachelor's thesis. You will be active in a responsible corporate environment and gain insights into project work, work processes, and the handling of engineering tasks. You will always be supported by qualified engineers and mentors. Afterward, you will have diverse career prospects at HENSOLDT.
