About the Department
For the "Digital Electronics Excellence" department, we are looking for a "Development Engineer FPGA/ASIC (m/f/d)" at the Ulm site as soon as possible.
The department develops FPGA firmware for use in military systems. The spectrum ranges from the development of standard interfaces to the implementation of complex algorithms in radar, EW, and avionics products.

Your Responsibilities
- Conception and implementation of complex FPGA and SoC designs, considering performance, resource utilization, and testability
- Optimization and implementation of signal processing algorithms in VHDL and C
- Verification of the design and functional testing in hardware
- Testing and commissioning of functions on the target hardware
- Participation in system integration, verification, and qualification
- Creation of complete design, requirement, and verification documentation
- Planning and coordination of development performance
- Contribution to the further development of the FPGA team
Your Profile
- Completed studies in Electrical Engineering or Communications Engineering (Bachelor, Master, Dipl.-Ing. or Dr.-Ing.) or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in FPGA/ASIC development
- Very good knowledge of VHDL and FPGA architecture
- Very good knowledge of digital circuit technology
- Experience with FPGA manufacturer tools (preferably Xilinx)
- Experience with High-Level Synthesis and relevant tools such as Vivado HLS and Matlab Simulink
- Knowledge of implementing algorithms in FPGAs / ASICs
- A structured, team- and goal-oriented way of working, as well as strong initiative
- Fluent German and very good English skills
