About the opportunity
Java Backend Developer with OpenShift and Cassandra
We are looking for a Java Backend Developer to work on the development and maintenance of distributed applications, using microservices architecture and modern technologies. The professional will be part of an agile, collaborative, and high-availability-oriented environment, contributing to the evolution of critical business solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud;
- Develop and consume REST APIs;
- Perform deployments and operate applications on OpenShift;
- Integrate Backend services with Frontend applications developed in React;
- Participate in code reviews, unit tests, and Continuous Integration (CI) processes;
- Analyze incidents and implement performance, scalability, and security improvements;
- Work together with Architecture, QA, DevOps, and Product teams.
Mandatory Requirements
- Solid experience in Java Backend development;
- Spring Boot;
- Microservices Architecture;
- Cassandra database;
- Docker containers;
- OpenShift platform;
- Development and integration of REST APIs;
- Version control using Git;
- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban).

- Experience with React;
- Knowledge of CI/CD, especially with GitHub Actions;
- Experience with Cloud environments, such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
Position Conditions
- 100% remote work;
- Future relocation to Portugal or Spain is mandatory if required due to project, company strategy, or legal requirements;
- While in Brazil, the work will be performed entirely remotely;
