Ensure the stability and advanced optimization of platforms by executing infrastructure projects and resolving highly complex cross-system major incidents. Responsibilities

  1. Establish direct contact with vendors to research and implement new technologies for the benefit of grupo Coppel, for large-scale projects.
  1. Analyze research and testing with engineers and observability teams to implement agents, dashboards, collectors, and alerts, instrumenting servers, middleware, and log collection to ensure proactive monitoring, avoid potential operational impacts, and find the root cause of problems.
  1. Guarantee the execution of root cause analysis for incidents or problems related to servers or platforms to take actions aimed at preventing future similar issues, ensuring the availability of these systems as well as the applications or services running on them.
  1. Provide guidance and recommendations on new architectures and optimal technologies to use for new projects or developments, seeking high availability and scalability upon implementation in production.
  1. Automate and prioritize patch application based on risk exposure identified by the vendor and critical business requirements (service owner).

Requirements

  1. Proven experience of 3 to 5 years in advanced administration of Linux servers.
  1. Knowledge of network concepts, protocols, and services (TCP/IP, DNS), SQL and noSQL database managers, and cloud platforms (AWS, AZURE, and GCP).
  1. Experience with Kubernetes (implementation, configuration, monitoring).

Education

  1. Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Systems, or a related field.
