Job Description

Do you want to apply your academic knowledge in practice and engage with cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and digitalization in an industrial environment? During your internship, you will support us in the conception of a secure digital development environment for the development and realization of injection molds.

You will analyze existing requirements and processes, engage with current technologies and best practices in IT security, and develop a holistic concept for a modern and secure system environment. This will give you exciting insights into the digitalization of plastics technology and allow you to independently manage a specific topic from analysis to recommendations for action.

Your Responsibilities

  1. You will research current technologies, tools, concepts, and best practices related to secure digital development environments and IT security.
  1. You will analyze existing workflows, processes, and requirements of a selected specialist department and derive technical and security-related requirements from them.
  1. You will engage with the existing IT infrastructure and system landscape and identify requirements for a secure development environment.
  1. Based on your analysis, you will develop a concept for a modern and secure development environment that can be used, among other things, for the development of digital tools in the context of tool creation.
  1. You will define suitable processes, roles, responsibilities, and security requirements for the future handling of the development environment.
  1. You will evaluate different technical solution approaches and incorporate suitable technologies into your concept.
  1. Finally, you will structure your findings and develop recommendations for action for further implementation.

Qualifications

Your Profile

  1. You are studying Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT Security, Business Informatics, or a comparable degree program and wish to complete your mandatory internship next semester.
  1. You are interested in cybersecurity, digitalization, IT infrastructures, and system architectures.
  1. You enjoy independently learning about new technologies and complex technical issues.
  1. You work analytically, structurally, and goal-orientedly, and enjoy developing your own solutions.
  1. You are communicative and enjoy collaborating with different departments.
  1. You have excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
  1. You can envision potentially continuing the topic as part of a Bachelor's thesis after your internship.
  1. Ideally, you have already gained initial practical experience in IT or system security.

Our location is in the Wackersdorf Innovation Park. With a driver's license and your own vehicle, you will have maximum flexibility for commuting.

Framework Conditions

Start: as soon as possible, by arrangement

Working Hours: 38 hours per week with flextime

Work Location: Wackersdorf

Remote Work: possible after successful onboarding and in agreement with the team
