We are looking for a professional who will:
- Model and maintain the semantic data layer (entities, relationships, properties, and business rules);
- Design and build analytical and operational applications for business area consumption;
- Define and standardize metrics, KPIs, and business rules in the consumption layer;
- Ensure quality, consistency, and governance of the semantic layer (nomenclature, documentation, versioning);
- Configure data-driven workflows and automations for business processes;
- Establish and maintain data contracts between data engineering and the consumption layer;
- Collaborate with data engineers to define delivery and data quality requirements;
- Collaborate with data analysts to understand consumption needs and enable analysis;
- Document models, business objects, relationships, and modeling decisions;
- Apply software engineering practices to the analytical layer (versioning, data testing, documentation as code).
- Define the architecture and strategy of the semantic layer: modeling standards, governance, nomenclature, and evolution;
- Lead modeling for complex and cross-domain scenarios (multiple business areas, shared entities);
- Design highly complex analytical and operational applications;
- Establish the data contracts framework and ensure adherence between engineering and consumption pipelines;
- Conduct technical modeling reviews and ensure quality and consistency;
- Define and evolve data testing, quality, and monitoring standards for the semantic layer;
- Mentor junior and mid-level professionals, conducting technical and development sessions;
- Be the technical focal point in discussions with business users and leadership regarding modeling and data; identify opportunities for automation and optimization in the semantic layer;
- Develop and maintain solutions with GenAI/LLM integrated into the semantic layer (enrichment, classification, agents);
- Evaluate and recommend tools, processes, and practices for continuous evolution; influence the organization's data strategy with a long-term vision.
What are the essential requirements for this position?
- Completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Analysis and Development, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, or areas that support the activities. Currently pursuing a Postgraduate degree, MBA, or Specialization in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Analytics, or similar.
- Experience in analytics engineering, semantic modeling, or data architecture.
Desirable
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry processes, clinical research, supply chain, or related business areas; data mesh and decentralization of data domains; development of AI agents and workflows; Palantir Foundry.
