You make our IT secure, lean, and as automated as possible – with AI as a firm tool.
Our team works in Leipzig, Würzburg, and remotely. As an IT Systems Engineer, you are the central point of contact for our internal IT: you keep operations stable, strategically develop our IT security, and ensure that recurring tasks are ideally no longer performed manually. This leaves more time for the topics that truly move us forward.
- Develop Microsoft 365 further: You administer and harden our environment with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune – from identities and roles to policies and device management. A first major goal: achieve 100% Intune coverage.
- Automate Support: You handle 1st and 2nd level support for our team, rethinking it in the process. For example, you automate ticket intake with AI, build self-service solutions, and create reusable workflows.
- Strategically shape IT Security: You further develop our security strategy and implement measures such as patch management, backup, and monitoring. You support our ISMS according to ISO 27001 together with our external partner.
- Access and Permissions: You maintain our role and permission concept and automate onboarding and offboarding, so that new team members can get started from day one and access is reliably revoked.
- Infrastructure at our locations: You manage servers, backups, and networks in Leipzig and Würzburg and are also on-site when needed.
- Tools, Licenses, and Hardware: You keep track of software, licenses, and devices, plan rollouts, and ensure a clear, well-documented tool landscape.
- Projects with other teams: You collaborate on special projects with our development team and other departments, and also help automate processes there.
- Share Knowledge: You document processes, expand our knowledge base, and help the team use IT tools securely and confidently.
Your Profile
- You have at least 2 to 5 years of experience in IT administration or systems engineering – whether through training, studies, or a career change.
- You are very familiar with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune and have administered these environments yourself.
- You naturally use AI tools in your daily work and are eager to automate processes with them.
- You solve recurring tasks with scripts, e.g., in PowerShell or Python, instead of doing them by hand over and over again.
- You have broad technical understanding and enjoy learning new systems.
- You consider IT security from the outset. Experience with ISO 27001 or an ISMS is a plus, preferably in a responsible role. You find topics like NIS2 or TISAX exciting.
- You work independently and in a structured manner and explain technology so that everyone understands it.
- You speak and write German and English well.
- You are willing to travel to our locations in Leipzig and Würzburg if needed.
- Experience with Linux, Docker, servers, and networks is a plus.
