Your
ResponsibilitiesAs part of our Technology Strategy team, which specializes in the financial services sector, in Munich, Frankfurt/Main, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Cologne, or Berlin, you will take responsibility for advising our clients on topics related to data and AI transformations. You will undertake a variety of tasks:
- Leading multidisciplinary teams and responsibility for the end-to-end architecture for modern data platforms on Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP (e.g., Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Streaming, Real-time, MDM) with integrated security, governance, and FinOps, as well as quality assurance and acting as Design Authority. Moderating architectural decisions and transparently communicating trade-offs.
- Designing data platforms for scaling AI/ML and GenAI (e.g., feature stores, semantic layers, data provisioning for AI workloads) and actively managing architectural risks, dependencies, and technical debt.
- Defining blueprints for data products, integration patterns, and SLAs for use cases in analytics, AI/ML, and operational processes. Also establishing data governance, data catalogs, data lineage, and data privacy controls.
- Translating business and regulatory requirements (e.g., IFRS 17, Solvency II, Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims Management, Risk, and Finance) into target data architectures and pragmatic roadmaps.
- Collaborating with client-side and internal executives, contributing to proposals, position papers, reusable solution components (accelerators), and mentoring and professionally developing team members.
Minimum requirements
Your Skillset
- Completed studies in (Business) Informatics, (Business) Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Engineering, or another field of study with a technological-analytical background and more than 5 years of professional experience in the conception and deployment of cloud-based data platforms on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- In-depth knowledge of the insurance industry, confident handling of regulatory requirements, and in addition to a strong understanding of architecture and pattern recognition, also strong consulting, leadership, and technology strategy competencies with a focus on implementing business goals into scalable, future-proof solution architectures for modern data and cloud platforms.
- Very good communication skills in German (at least C1 level) and English.
