About the opportunity

About the company

Artificial intelligence is the biggest technological revolution of our generation, and our mission is to make Brazil a protagonist in this story.

Enter combines human expertise and artificial intelligence to execute, at scale, critical and high-volume tasks that still rely on manual processes. Our platform allows large companies to operate in complex workflows, starting with legal operations and expanding throughout the enterprise. With a valuation of USD 1.2 B and support from funds like Sequoia and Founders Fund, our goal is to lead the AI revolution in Brazil through efficiency and cutting-edge technology.

We are expanding to transform how organizations operate at scale. Here, you won't just maintain the status quo: you'll create solutions that solve real problems for large companies and help define the next generation of productivity in Brazil.

What is the role?

About the Engineering team

Engineering is the area responsible for building and operating the systems that support our AI platform in production, at a scale that few teams in Brazil face: we process millions of documents and billions of LLM tokens every day.

This places us at the forefront of real challenges in distributed systems and AI in production, such as non-determinism, latency, flakiness, and continuous quality evaluation – problems that require both solid engineering fundamentals and creativity to solve under uncertainty. We are organized into squads by broad themes, with specialists in frontend, backend, data, AI, and platform who collaborate across layers, bringing together talent from diverse nationalities and with experience from AI research centers around the world. We guide our work by clear principles: simplicity, end-to-end responsibility, verifiable quality, and evidence-based decisions.

We seek mastery, not just enough understanding to solve the problem. We prefer to err on the side of doing too much rather than too little, and we know that creating exceptional things requires effort and sacrifice, always putting the team's priorities above our own.

What is the role?

Senior Software Engineers at Enter build the foundation of our AI agent platform, taking on entire projects from concept to production with real autonomy.

At a certain point, the team needs someone to take complex projects off everyone's radar, coordinating other engineers and acting as a strategic bridge with AID, so the organization can move forward with confidence. This role exists to expand the team's delivery capacity.

The role involves making critical technical decisions, defining architecture, and solving challenges of scalability and processing large volumes of data in systems that operate in production. You will work on Backend, Machine Learning, and LLMs problems, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility for the quality and evolution of the systems, often serving as the single-threaded owner of initiatives that span multiple systems within the team's domain.

Why join us?

At Enter, you will shape the future of AI in Brazil, working with:

  1. Obsession with Impact: We focus on results that move the client's needle.
  1. Speed and Autonomy: We value those who make quick decisions with ownership.
  1. Intellectual Humility: We are a team of brilliant minds, but ego stays at the door. We are always willing to learn, teach, and admit when we don't know something.
  1. Transparency: Honesty about mistakes and successes to grow fast.

We offer autonomy, purpose, and the chance to solve unprecedented technical challenges alongside leadership.

What will be your responsibilities?

  1. Lead complex end-to-end projects: Design and lead medium to large-scale projects that span multiple systems, from concept to production, with minimal support.
  1. Define architecture at scale: Define and evolve the architecture of the systems supporting the AI agent platform as a whole, not just your service, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
  1. Navigate ambiguity with full autonomy: Structure the path when it's unclear, making critical technical decisions without constant validation.
  1. Lead platform scalability decisions: Ensure the platform evolves with increasing demand and complexity, anticipating structural bottlenecks before they affect multiple teams.
  1. Own critical initiatives: Take complete responsibility for initiatives that span multiple systems within the team's domain, including production health, high-severity incidents, and post-mortems.
  1. Anticipate structural inefficiencies: Proactively identify and resolve inefficiencies affecting more than one system or service before they become scaling issues.
  1. Formally mentor the team: Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in a structured way, raising the team's technical standard beyond occasional code reviews.
  1. Define team technical practices: Help define the standards, technical practices, and architectural decisions that the entire team follows, not just those for your own code.
  1. Actively participate in hiring: Conduct technical interviews and help define the criteria and practices for the team's selection process, in addition to shadowing.

Requirements (What are we looking for?)

  1. Consolidated experience: 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in backend and/or frontend software development, with a proven track record of taking complex systems to production and sustaining them at scale.
  1. Advanced technical proficiency: Advanced mastery of at least one primary programming language, with a deep understanding of distributed systems and architectural patterns.
  1. Production performance and debugging: Analytical ability to identify bottlenecks, use profiling tools, analyze memory consumption and latency, and diagnose concurrency or non-determinism issues down to the root cause, acting independently from investigation to final solution.
  1. Observability culture: Deep understanding of monitoring and traceability (tracing, logging, metrics), designing systems with production behavior and success measurement in mind.
  1. End-to-end technical leadership: Real track record of leading complex technical projects from concept to production, with full autonomy and minimal need for supervision.
  1. Architecture decisions under ambiguity: Ability to make and defend architectural decisions in unclear scenarios, evaluating technical trade-offs with maturity, even under pressure.
  1. Business vision applied to technology: Understanding of how technical decisions connect to business outcomes, prioritizing what generates the most impact.
  1. Work in Agile Environments: Experience working in multidisciplinary squads, clearly communicating technical risks to non-technical managers, and effectively collaborating with Product and Design teams.
  1. Communication: Ability to articulate complex technical decisions to different stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
  1. Intensity and Energy: Capacity to sustain a fast-paced, high-quality delivery rhythm. You thrive in startup environments, maintaining focus and energy even under high pressure and ambiguity.
  1. Hands-on profile: You possess a practical and operational approach, not only defining strategies but also actively engaging in execution, whether prototyping solutions, configuring tools, performing analyses, or resolving critical operational issues to ensure project progress.
  1. Collaborative Work: You thrive in collaborative environments, valuing knowledge exchange and the collective building of solutions, working fluidly with multidisciplinary teams.
  1. On-site Availability: Availability for 100%% on-site work in São Paulo (Pinheiros), Monday through Friday.

Differentiators (Nice to Have)

  1. Enterprise Clients: Experience with B2B, long sales cycles, and complex requirements.
  1. Domain Expertise in Regulated Sectors: Practical experience in developing digital solutions for the legal (LegalTech), financial (FinTech), or other markets with high regulatory and operational complexity.
  1. Experience with AI/LLM-based Products: Experience in products whose core value proposition involves artificial intelligence or language models, demonstrating the ability to manage the inherent uncertainty and performance of these technologies.
