Your Role
You are the technically leading IT person with us. Our environment is intentionally lean.
M365 for around 70 employees, a manageable Azure landscape, Sophos firewall. Other tools include Notion, Asana, and the well-known LLM models.
Operations run smoothly, with little support required. Therefore, your time is primarily dedicated to architecture, security, and the automation of our business processes. No ticket hamster wheel, but room for design.
Your Responsibilities
- You are fully responsible for our M365 environment: Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams, including security standards like Conditional Access and device compliance.
- You operate and further develop our Azure environment: VMs, network, backup, and costs.
- You are responsible for the network, firewall (Sophos), and VPN.
- You automate business processes with Power Automate and PowerShell, in collaboration with the business departments.
- You make technology decisions, set standards, and document them.
- You advance our junior colleague technically. She handles 1st and 2nd level support, and you are the contact person for 3rd level.
- You manage IT projects and, if necessary, external service providers.
Qualifications
- Around 5 years of experience in system administration or as a Systems Engineer
- Proficiency in Entra ID, Intune, and M365 administration, to the extent that you can teach it to others
- Hands-on experience in operating Azure VMs, including network and backup
- Experience with firewalls and networks, Sophos is a plus
- PowerShell in daily use
- Experience with Power Automate or a clear ambition to develop strongly in this area
- Process understanding: You ask why a process works the way it does before automating it
- Enjoyment in passing on knowledge
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in creating business process workflows via n8n or comparable solutions
- Strong skills (or the ambition to build them) in dealing with AI, not just in personal use of chat solutions, but also in the structural enablement of the organization
- Certifications such as MS-102 or AZ-104
