In this role, you will develop individual software solutions for customer projects together with our teams – from technical conception through implementation to further development. You will work closely with internal developers and our customers' architects to design sustainable software architectures. The position can be performed hybrid. Very good German and English skills are required, as the projects take place nationally and internationally.

Your Responsibilities

As a software developer and architect, the following areas of focus will arise for you:

  1. You translate requirements into program code, using existing and new frameworks.
  1. Based on your understanding of our customers' individual software architectures, you derive technical implementation proposals.
  1. You structure implementation projects into work packages for our developer teams.
  1. You coordinate implementations with our customers' architects.
  1. You document implementations in code comments, implementation proposals, and specifications in German and English, depending on the project environment.

What skills and experience you should bring

  1. Several years of experience as a Java developer, including in agile project environments
  1. Sound knowledge of Java, JUnit, Git, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MariaDB or Oracle DB, web technologies
  1. Implementation experience in architectures and frameworks such as JEE, Hibernate, JSF, Primefaces, React, Angular, JavaFX
  1. Initial or several years of professional experience in software architecture
  1. A high degree of organizational skills and a structured, self-reliant way of working
  1. Very good analytical and conceptual skills
  1. Good communication skills
  1. Fluent German and English skills

Furthermore, you should bring

  1. Completed degree in Computer Science (or Business Informatics), several years of professional experience after completing IHK training as an IT specialist or a comparable qualification
  1. Willingness for internal and external further training
  1. Willingness for occasional travel domestically and abroad

Advantageous, but not essential

  1. Knowledge of cryptographic procedures and implementations of user authentication and authorization, MFA, eID (e.g., Keycloak, EIDAS, LDAP)
  1. Experience with DevOps approaches including tools like Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, SonarQube
  1. Knowledge of APIs including automated tests, possibly using self-created mockups/simulators
  1. Experience in data migration projects
  1. Knowledge of other programming languages
  1. Creation of automated test cases with tools like Selenium, Jira XRay
  1. Experience with Infrastructure as Code and cloud platforms from hyperscalers like AWS, Azure or Google
  1. Experience working with public sector authorities
  1. Relevant certifications in the Java environment (OCPJ), ISAQB, TOGAF, V-Modell XT, Scrum Master or certifications from hyperscale cloud providers.
