At DaCodes, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a dedicated team and participate in the evolution of a data platform based on Azure.
This role goes beyond developing pipelines. We are looking for someone capable of building end-to-end data solutions, making technical decisions about the platform, optimizing information processing, and working directly with cloud services to enable new components when the project requires it.
If your experience is limited to maintaining existing ETL processes or working solely in on-premise environments, this is probably not the right challenge for you.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
- Develop ETL/ELT processes using Python and SQL.
- Model and optimize data in Snowflake to improve performance and scalability.
- Work with Azure Data Lake as part of the data architecture.
- Participate in technical decisions related to the data platform architecture.
- Configure and enable resources within Azure as needed to support new solutions.
- Optimize SQL queries, transformation processes, and pipeline performance.
- Collaborate with different teams to ensure data availability, quality, and reliability.
- Prepare datasets for analytical consumption and visualization tools like Power BI.
Required qualifications
- Experience 4+ years as a Data Engineer or Data Platform Engineer.
- Experience building data solutions on Azure.
- Experience working with Azure Data Factory.
- Experience using Snowflake in production environments.
- Solid command of SQL (complex joins, CTEs, query optimization, and modeling).
- Practical command of Python applied to data engineering.
- Experience developing cloud-native ETL/ELT processes.
- Experience working with Azure Data Lake.
- Ability to understand and participate in data architecture decisions.
- Experience working directly on cloud services (not solely migrated on-premise solutions).
It will be a plus if you have
- Azure Databricks.
- Data governance.
- Power BI.
- Cost optimization in Azure.
- Dimensional modeling.
- Data Warehousing.
- Azure Synapse.
- Participation as a technical referent or technical lead in data projects.

- Your experience has been primarily with on-premise ETL tools.
- You primarily work as a SQL developer without experience in cloud platforms.
- You use Python only for simple automations or exploratory analysis.
- Your experience in Azure is limited to consuming already configured resources without participating in the platform's construction.
