D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Data Platform Reliability Engineer. As the nation's largest homebuilder by volume, D.R. Horton is transforming how it uses data, AI, and digital solutions for the next generation of homebuilding, and we pair the reach of a national enterprise with a culture built on local ownership, practical innovation, and deep business partnerships. Our teams focus on solutions that work in the field and deliver real results, not technology for its own sake. In this role, you'll have a critical opportunity to shape modern capabilities that will influence how the company operates for years to come.
The Data Platform Reliability Engineer (also known as Platform Engineer / Data Reliability) role will help ensure the modern data foundation is reliable, observable, automated, and ready to support analytics and AI at enterprise scale. This role will engineer monitoring, resilience, performance, deployment, and operational automation while improving how teams detect, prevent, and resolve platform issues. The ideal candidate brings an SRE mindset, strong engineering discipline, and a desire to build platforms that teams can trust as critical business capabilities. This role's primary scope is the reliability and operation of the data and AI platform, complementing the DevSecOps Engineer (software delivery platform) and the AI Platform Engineer (model and agent services). Success in this role means platform teams can state and meet reliability targets, incidents are rarer and shorter, and operational toil is replaced by automation.
