Your Responsibilities
As a System Engineer Database Administration, you will be responsible for the operation and further development of your clients' data center environments. Furthermore, you will work with the latest trends and technologies and implement them directly at your clients' sites or remotely, for example, from home. Core tasks of your role:
- You manage and optimize Oracle databases in complex customer environments.
- You install, configure, and maintain Oracle database systems.
- You develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
- You perform performance analyses, tuning measures, and troubleshooting.
- You create scripts for task automation and cooperate with other IT teams to ensure the integrity and security of the databases.
Your Profile
- Completed vocational training or degree in an IT-related field or comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in managing Oracle databases
- Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems, scripting (e.g., Bash, Python), and ideally with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform
- Structured, self-reliant way of working, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills
- Very good German language skills and good English language skills
- Customer orientation, flexibility, and willingness to travel
