We are looking for a motivated Junior Database Administrator (DBA) with a desire to learn to support the maintenance, monitoring, and upkeep of our database environments. This professional will work in collaboration with the technical team, assisting with routine support, ensuring data integrity, and evolving their skills in the area.
Minimum requirements
Knowledge
- Basic to intermediate concepts of relational database architecture and administration.
- Execution and monitoring of operational routines (backup, restore, and integrity check routines).
- Creation of SQL queries (DML and DDL) and understanding of basic data modeling.
- Support in identifying and resolving simple access or performance issues.
- Support in controlling permissions and granting user access.
Technologies
- SQL (Basic to Intermediate)
- Familiarity with scripting languages for automation support (Shell Script, PowerShell, or Python)
- Basic knowledge of database management tools (e.g., SSMS, DBeaver, pgAdmin)
Preferred
- Basic knowledge of cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle
- Entry-level courses, certifications, or practical/academic projects in the database area
