Software Architect / Tech Lead
We are looking for talented individuals to join our team as a **Software Architect / Tech Lead**, collaborating on a project in the technology banking sector. This person will work in the **Platform** squad, responsible for the foundation, observability, data, and infrastructure that support a highly strategic initiative for modernizing legacy systems in a critical, high-value business application.
Responsibilities
- Define, validate, and evolve the platform's software architecture, including foundations, observability, data, and infrastructure.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and patterns, considering scalability, performance, security, and usability. -
- Develop and maintain diagrams, ADRs, and technical documentation that describe the structure and interactions of the platform components. -
- Define and disseminate best practices in architecture, design patterns, and technical guidelines for the squad. -
- Manage the architectural backlog (debts, improvements, and technical evolutions), prioritizing it on the team's roadmap. -
- Act hands-on in PoCs, technical design, and code reviews, ensuring adherence to standards and architectural guidelines. -
- Identify technical risks and propose mitigation plans, anticipating problems during development. -
- Promote the team's technical training, ensuring the necessary knowledge for current challenges. -
- Foster innovation and continuous improvement, keeping up with technological trends and proposing the adoption of new approaches when appropriate. -
- Participate in meetings with stakeholders, aligning expectations and communicating the platform's technical vision.
Requirements
- Solid experience working as a software architect or tech lead in highly complex and mission-critical projects. -
- Strong knowledge in React and design of microservices and APIs in production. -
- Consistent experience with AWS (compute, network, security, and managed services). -
- Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CDK). -
- Mastery of DDD and practical application of architectural patterns. -
- Advanced experience in observability of distributed systems (structured logs, metrics, distributed tracing, SLOs/SLIs). -
- Experience with Oracle and large-scale data modeling. -
- Experience with messaging (Kafka and/or RabbitMQ) in high-volume transactional environments. -
- Consistent experience with distributed, microservices, and event-driven architectures. -
- Hands-on technical leadership approach, with strong engineering capabilities, contributing directly to design decisions, PoCs, and code reviews. -
- Experience in agile and multi-squad environments.
Differentiators
- Previous experience in core banking, preferably in loans/credit, or in regulated environments (BACEN, LGPD). -
- Experience in modernizing legacy systems (Sybase, VB6, or similar) and patterns like Strangler Fig, ACL, and CDC. -
- Advanced experience with Oracle Exadata. -
- Proficiency in AI development (Claude Code and/or Cursor). -
- Mastery of Clean/Hexagonal Architecture, CQRS, and Event Sourcing. -
- Experience with service mesh, API gateways, and cloud-native platform patterns. -
- Experience in high-availability and high-volume transactional systems.
