Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable and performant data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and making data available to different business areas.
  1. Engage in building and evolving data engineering solutions using Databricks, ensuring efficiency, quality, and reliability in processing large volumes of data.
  1. Develop data processing routines using Python and PySpark, applying best practices for development and performance optimization.
  1. Implement and sustain data architectures based on Data Mesh principles, promoting decentralization, governance, and autonomy of data domains.
  1. Create and maintain analytical and operational data models, ensuring consistency, traceability, and adherence to business requirements.
  1. Develop advanced queries and processes using SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and validation.
  1. Integrate different structured and unstructured data sources, ensuring quality and standardization of information.
  1. Implement quality controls, monitoring, and observability for data pipelines, proactively identifying and correcting failures.
  1. Work in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure, utilizing data storage, processing, and orchestration services.
  1. Collaborate with architects, data scientists, data analysts, and business teams in defining solutions aligned with corporate needs.
  1. Participate in technical decisions related to data architecture, development standards, security, and information governance.
  1. Optimize processes and computational resources, seeking operational efficiency and cost reduction in data platforms.
  1. Document solutions, data flows, processes, and technical components, ensuring knowledge transfer and environment support.
  1. Support the continuous evolution of the data platform, proposing architectural improvements, new technologies, and data engineering best practices.

Qualifications

  1. Experience with Databricks (data engineering and processing);
  1. Knowledge of Data Mesh architecture;
  1. Building and maintaining data pipelines;
  1. Development using Python and PySpark;
  1. Experience with SQL and data modeling;
  1. Experience in cloud data environments (preferably Azure)
