OVERVIEW

The Digital Signal Processing (DSP) team in Boston develops innovative new technology to enable world-leading wireless communications solutions. We are looking for an experienced DSP engineer with an interest in designing and implementing systems using advanced signal processing algorithms to address client needs in the areas of wireless communications, sensors, audio processing, and image processing systems.

You will be involved in every stage of our technology development life cycle, from developing proof-of-concept demonstrations for initial sales leads to designing, implementing, and testing innovative new products. The role holder will need to be based in Boston or the surrounding area.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  1. Architect and implement algorithms for high performance hardware, from design through to verification and optimisation.
  1. Deliver high-quality DSP designs and implementations with minimal supervision.
  1. Contribute to IP development to expand and promote group capabilities.
  1. Contribute to technical discussions, design reviews, and project planning (including proposals and time estimates).
  1. Engage with clients on a technical level, including pre-contract scoping discussions and “the art of the possible”.
  1. Contribute to the system design of products that span multiple domains and work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
  1. Mentor junior members of the team.
  1. Identify and raise technical risks or concerns in a timely manner.
  1. Using good testing habits: unit testing, system testing, regression testing, etc.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  1. Demonstrable digital signal processing experience delivering high quality designs and implementations.
  1. MS/BS in a field related to digital signal processing (e.g., computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, etc.).
  1. Experience with scripting and analysis tools such as MATLAB or Python.
  1. C, C++, or Rust programming and software engineering skills.
  1. Verbal and written communication skills to convey your designs and ideas.
  1. Experience with mentoring team member/s on a technical project.
  1. As this role may involve work with our US Government clients, you must be a US National.
