Your Role
As a Senior Software Developer C++ (m/f/d) in the Fleet Software team of the Mobile Robot Platform, you will develop and take responsibility for core software components for the fleet management of mobile robots. Your goal is to provide robust, high-performance, and reliably integrable C++ software that can be used across the entire platform. You will make well-founded, quality-oriented decisions and ensure that complex planning and control logic is implemented in a stable, scalable, and maintainable manner.
Your Responsibilities
- Development, expansion, and maintenance of core fleet software components in modern C++
- Implementation of complex planning and control logic with a focus on stability and performance
- Ensuring clear software architectures and modular, scalable structures
- Analysis and optimization of runtime behavior, performance, and memory consumption
- Support for integration, debugging, and system testing
- Close collaboration with Robot Software, Simulation, Safety, and Test & Validation teams
- Documentation of technical concepts and decisions to ensure maintainability
- Active contribution to reducing technical debt and further developing the platform
Minimum requirements
Your Profile
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience in the development of C++ software in complex systems
- Very good knowledge of modern C++ (e.g., C++17/20) as well as modular software development
- Experience with the integration of distributed software components and system architectures
- Know-how in performance and runtime analysis as well as memory optimization
- Experience in debugging and analyzing complex software systems
- Structured, analytical, and quality-oriented way of working with a high level of personal responsibility
- Good written and spoken German and English skills
