Our tech stack includes modern technologies such as Java, Kotlin, TypeScript and Python, CI/CD pipelines, containers, Kubernetes as well as Azure Cloud, Azure SQL Database and Oracle databases with PL/SQL.
Your role in the team
Have you already gained initial experience with Citrix, are you familiar with Windows systems, and would you like to further develop your skills in the area of modern IT workplace environments? Then you are exactly the right person for us.
As a (Junior) System Engineer in the Windows Infrastructure and Workspace team, you will support the operation and further development of our central Windows and Citrix infrastructure. In doing so, you will work with technologies such as Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Microsoft Windows, IGEL, and PowerShell. Together with experienced colleagues, you will ensure stable and secure IT operations, gradually take on more responsibility, and contribute your ideas to exciting IT projects.
What tasks await you?
- Support in the provision, administration, and further development of our Windows client and server environments (Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2019/2022)
- Maintenance and optimization of our virtual desktop and application environments based on Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) in collaboration with the team
- Analysis and resolution of technical malfunctions in the area of Windows, Citrix, and digital workplaces, as well as support for more complex inquiries in 3rd-level support
- Support for the central provision, installation, and updating of software using tools such as Aagon ACMP and Ivanti DSM
- Maintenance and further development of our thin-client infrastructure based on IGEL OS
- Automation and standardization of recurring IT processes using PowerShell as well as continuous optimization of existing workflows
Minimum requirements
Who are we looking for?
- Successfully completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration, IT systems electronics technician, a degree in (business) informatics, or a comparable IT qualification
- Practical experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), for example in the administration, provision, or maintenance of virtual desktop and application environments
- Fundamental understanding of IT infrastructures, virtualization, and central workplace solutions
- Good written and spoken German and English skills
- Knowledge of software distribution, for example with Aagon ACMP or Ivanti DSM, as well as experience with IGEL OS are an advantage
- Initial experience with PowerShell scripting for the automation of IT processes is desirable
